“Redeemed” started off in the early 1980’s as a quartet in Stewart Street Baptist Church in Milton, FL. We made our first recording, “I Saw Love” around 1990. The Lord began moving all the members of the group around and we all ended up at Bible Way Baptist Church. We recorded our second project in North Carolina entitled “The Man In The Middle.” This was an experience we will never forget. It seemed we drove forever to get to the recording studio right at the Virginia/North Carolina line. We started recording in the afternoon and stopped at about 4 the next morning. We drove about an hour back to Bro. and Mrs. Jerry Walker’s house in Stokesdale, NC, crashed for a couple of hours, then headed back to the recording studio. We finished the recording and started the mix-down. I don’t remember ever being so exhausted, and we made some memories! We returned to Stokesdale and sang Sunday morning at Oak Level Baptist Church (Bro. Jerry Walker and his folks took such great care of us). We left right after the morning service and headed to Knoxville, Tennessee. (We, of course, had to stop on the way for a quick lunch—at a steak house!) Not a minute to spare we arrived at Bro. Wright’s home church in Knoxville. We sang, he preached, and we started home. There was a hurricane bearing down on Milton, Florida, our home. We made it home just as the worst part of the storm was hitting (I’m not sure our families appreciated preparing for the storm without us). That was a weekend to remember. Our bass singer felt the Lord calling him to Washington state and we are now a trio; Pastor Bill Wright, lead; Bro. Richard Gundersen, baritone; and Bro. Danny Cook, tenor. We love singing at our own church, which we do as often as possible, and we enjoying singing almost anywhere the Lord opens the doors. Our latest recording was in 2004 and is entitled “Forever Settled.” This was our first recording as a trio. We re-recorded one of our favorites, “I Saw Love.” It is a great project filled with songs we think you would enjoy. We enjoy singing and are very careful about the songs we sing. We realize that this may be the only message some people will listen to and we want to be sure they know about our Saviour, The Lord Jesus Christ. If you are interested in receiving one of our recordings, please contact the church office. We request a love offering of $12.
